Listen and Rest

Our busy lifestyles makes us forget or sometimes even neglect to take care of ourselves. While I am thankful that I get to have three more days to rest and to finally feel better, I also wish that I have the strength to stay at home and do stuff that I love like crafting, baking, etc.

Having said that, I give you the following reminders:

A lot of times we often neglect a simple cough or cold, but always remember that these are underlying symptoms of what might be something wrong with our system. Remember to always have yourself checked and to load up on vitamins. But too much is not always a good thing too, everything must be done in moderation. If you're tired from work and you have been sitting and staring at your desk all day, its okay to take a 5-10 minute walk outside or catch up with your friends at the office. Listen to your body and know when it tells you to stop and relax.

If you feel that Mr. Sniffles is coming or if you noticed that you have been coughing or sneezing a lot at work or at school, pause and be mindful of the people around you. While they might be worried about you, they might also be annoyed of you coughing or sneezing all day long. Plus, it spreads the disease and you wouldn't want your officemates or friends to have your virus too right? Minding the people around you also means that you respect them, that you wouldn't want them to get sick because of you. So if you feel that Mr. Sniffles is already making extra noises, better drink your medicines or take the day off.

You already know the miracles that water can bring into our lives right? And you probably know that our body is mostly made up of water, right? Don't be too lazy to drink up whenever you feel thirsty! Studies shows that drinking water can actually make you feel productive at work as it puts you in a good mood. It also makes you mentally alert and it helps relieves fatigue. This will make you say "aaahhhh" after chugging down on your H2O:)

And last but not the least, rest. There are times when you feel the need to be productive and you actually force yourself to live for 24 hours a day. Step back and think that our body is like an engine and it needs to rest too. So whenever you have the time to read a good book or catch some sleep, do so, your body will thank you for it.

I hope all of you are well and healthy :)

Love Always,

Gelibee
